Spotify Promises It Won't Make Premium Worse in One Way

Summary
Music streaming service Spotify has said that it’s not true that it’s planning to add ads to the premium tier of its service, and that premium music listening “will remain ad-free”.
The denial came in a post on Twitter, although the company tactfully chose not to include the word “always” – leaving itself room to introduce ads at a later date if it wishes.
This speculation began arising after a rumour started circulating that the company was planning to introduce a hifi tier to its service, which would allow users access to lossless audio and other features.
It now seems that these premium features will not include ad-free listening, which will remain free for all users.
