If You Ignore This Feature, You’re Not Using Your Pixel Right

Google has rolled out a new feature for Pixels that offers greater flexibility and control over notifications, helping users to minimise distractions and stay focused, according to a recent Makeuseof article.
Called ‘Modes’, the feature offers a range of notification modes, including ‘Do Not Disturb’, ‘Bedtime’, and ‘Driving’, and these can be edited and tailored to the user’s preferences, including setting specific times or triggers for each mode.
For maximum disruption, Makeuseof suggests creating custom modes for situations such as work, where only essential notifications are allowed, and setting an automatic schedule for the mode to switch on.
The feature is accessible via the quick access menu, and individual modes can be activated by pressing and holding the shortcut.
This new feature is one of a number of recent innovations from Google to boost its Pixel functionality and help it compete with Apple’s iOS.
