Gboard has many features that make typing and navigating on an Android phone much easier
One useful feature is the editing mode which can be accessed from the four square icon on Gboard and makes editing text much easier especially when dealing with multiple lines of text or lengthy documents
Similar to the text replacement feature on iPhones, Gboard has text shortcuts that can be set up for frequently used words, phrases, or text snippets which can be accessed by typing its shortcut in any text field and sliding it up from the suggestion toolbar
Another feature is the built-in Google translate function which allows you to translate text as you type it in any language by selecting the translate button in the Gboard four square icon drop down
One lesser known trick is the ability to toggle between different text cases using the shift key in Gboard;
