Microsoft has developed several new Windows features that include AI assistants to help users navigate the platform’s often complicated settings.
The new AI agent will be available as an update to the Windows 11 settings app, allowing users to ask questions like “how do I control my PC by voice?” and then receive the recommended steps to solve the issue.
The AI works by converting speech into a text prompt, which can then be executed.
As well as the AI assistant, Microsoft is deploying an AI photo editor in the Photos app, which allows the user to add dynamic lighting controls to pictures, and an AI sticker generator in Paint that creates digital stickers from text prompts.
Several new features are also being added to the Snipping Tool and Windows search functions.
However, all these new features are only available to Copilot+ PCs, with no announcement as to when they will be rolled out to all users.
