Summary
Ride-hailing firm Lyft has introduced an artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot designed to help drivers maximise their earnings.
Called Earnings Assistant, the tool enables drivers to create schedules based on real-time information about airport arrivals and local events, according to EVP of driver experience Jeremy Bird.
It can also send drivers reminders and offer recommendations on where they should go next to boost their earning prospects.
Drivers will be able to access the new feature once they have joined a waitlist, while it is also part of a pilot phase.
The announcement comes shortly after Lyft enhanced its Lyft Rewards scheme and introduced AI-powered Driver Accomplishment Letters, which provide drivers with an overview of their work along with positive feedback from passengers.
