Mark Zuckerburg, CEO of Meta, has revealed hisPUB]] plan to transform the company’s advertising proposition, aiming to eliminate the need for ad creative by using AI.
Speaking to Stratechery’s Ben Thompson, Zuckerburg explained how Meta aims to revolutionise advertising, with the aim for brands to simply connect their bank accounts to Meta platforms, and the company will do the rest.
“You come to us, you tell us what your objective is, you connect to your bank account, you don’t need any creative, you don’t need any targeting demographic, you don’t need any measurement, except to be able to read the results that we spit out.
I think that’s going to be huge, I think it is a redefinition of the category of advertising,” he said.
However, those in the industry have criticised the plan, with some branding it as a “hostile” move and others questioning the lack of transparency.
