During its extensive research, Google found that users over the age of 45 were able to interact with interfaces just as quickly as younger users, likely due to the expressive design’s visual cues.
The company has made extensive changes focusing on color, shape, size and motion to create a more appealing, and easier to use, user interface.
It appears that Google has begun rolling some of these changes out across Android, including new status bar icons, a new clock font and a redesigned settings menu.
It’s unclear when Google intended to officially announce these changes or re-publish the deleted blog on Material 3 Expressive.
