Sonos has confirmed that its eight-year collaboration with Ikea on the Symfonisk range of smart home speakers has drawn to a close, with its inventory being phased out globally.
Symfonisk speakers offered a lower-priced entry point to the Sonos ecosystem and also included home decor-friendly designs such as a lamp and picture frame.
However, the companies won’t be making any further products and existing models will continue to receive software support.
The news comes as Sonos is set to report its latest quarterly results on Wednesday, which is expected to reveal the impact of US tariffs on its business.
Sonos recently cut the price of two of its speakers in a bid to boost demand but has so far kept prices at their pre-tariff levels.
