Grand Theft Auto VI’s second trailer sets up its Bonnie and Clyde story

Game developer Rockstar has released the second trailer for its upcoming Grand Theft Auto VI game, following a decade-long wait since GTA V and a six-month delay to the game’s original 2025 launch date.
The new trailer again focuses on the game’s characters and fictional world, featuring characters Jason and Lucia in a Bonnie and Clyde-style storyline set in a Florida-inspired fictional city called Leonida, in which the players need to survive a criminal conspiracy.
Despite the previous delay, publisher Take-Two is still reportedly confident of a May 2026 launch date, during which time GTA V has sold more than 200 million copies across console generations and GTA Online’s online mode became a huge success.
It is expected that user-generated content will also play a large part in the new game’s release.
