Music streaming service Spotify is testing a new “snooze” button which will remove a song from user’s playlists, preventing it from appearing in recommendation algorithms for 30 days.
The company is also rolling out a number of other features to its premium users, including a redesign of the queue which includes new controls and the ability to view Spotify’s recommended songs once queued tracks have finished.
Spotifiers is also making it easier to manage playlists on mobile by adding new controls to the top of each playlist, and allowing users to create playlists from their liked songs.
A new feature for desktop users allows users to preview tracks from playlists, artists and albums similar to the mobile app.
These features are currently being rolled out to premium subscribers, with plans to introduce a snooze button to all listeners “soon”.
