Google will let restaurants highlight specials on their search profiles

Google is implementing a new feature for restaurants and bars to include special offers and events in their search results.
The offers will appear under the heading “This week” in the information box that appears when you search for a business.
Timed promotions could be for daily specials or live music events and will be added manually or via a link to a social media account.
At the moment this is just a trial for certain types of food and drink businesses in the US, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
The tool is enabled through the Posts on Google platform, which was launched over a decade ago to allow brands and celebrities to post content directly to Google carousels.
Users can also link their Instagram, Facebook or other accounts for automatic cross posting.
