Microsoft’s simplified Surface lineup puts another device on the chopping block

Summary
In recent years, Microsoft has scaled back its range of Surface hardware products, discontinuing products such as the Surface Headphones, the Surface Earbuds, the Surface Duo 2, and the Surface Studio 2.
According to reports, it has now stopped producing the Surface Laptop Studio 2, and will mark the product as end-of-life in June, but it will continue to provide support for the product.
This simplification of the product lines seems to be the future direction for Microsoft’s Surface range, with the two new products announced being simpler versions of existing products.
It seems that Microsoft is moving away from producing and scaling up products, and is instead focusing on simplifying and cutting costs.
Notably, Microsoft is also reportedly close to signing a new deal with OpenAI, which will give it continued access to AI technologies, including future technologies.
