Google is releasing an update to its virtual clothing try-on feature, letting users see how items such as shirts or dresses would look on themselves by uploading a photo.
The feature works with the company’s AI model that understands clothing and fabrics and aims to be more personalised for each user.
As well as trying on clothes users will be able to shop in AI mode, bringing up personalised panels of images and products related to their search.
There will also be an option for the AI to search for and buy items on a user’s behalf, with track price alerts and a confirm buy button being introduced to Google Shopping in the next few months.
All these features are launching in the US, with broader releases expected to follow at a later date.
