Technics AZ100 earbuds review: audiophiles and multitaskers unite
1 min read
Summary
Technics’ new flagship earbuds, the $299.99 EAH-AZ100 model, were announced at CES 2025 and build on the strengths of their predecessor, the AZ80, by offering improved active noise cancellation, longer battery life, a more comfortable design, and enhanced sound.
The AZ100s feature new “magnetic fluid” drivers to reduce distortion and increase clarity, as well as new “Liquid Alloy” drivers for better bass response, and support LDAC and the newer LC3 / LE Audio Bluetooth codec protocol.
They also offer a three-way multipoint for connecting to three devices at the same time, as well as a companion app with a Dolby Vision toggle and other settings for customizing controls and adjusting noise transparency mode, as well as testing mic sound and optimizing ANC.
The only drawbacks are that the design is more bland and the app options can be overwhelming.
