Due to the problematic moderation and overall poor management of Twitter, many users have flocked to alternative social media platforms since Elon Musk’s takeover.
Some of the more notable include Threads (formerly Instagram Stories), Mastodon, and Bluesky, the latter of which has received attention due to its decentralized social networking platform being developed in partnership with Meta.
Despite initial success for these platforms, many users are still using Meta’s Threads and the company is constantly making improvements to ensure that it stays that way.
In addition, some non-Meta-owned alternatives like Pebble and Post News have failed to make an impact.
