Android 16 has arrived with iPhone-style Live Updates

Summary
Android 16, the latest version of Google’s mobile operating system, includes Live Updates, allowing users to track the progress of rides and food deliveries.
It will initially roll out to ride-share and food delivery apps, appearing in the Now Bar on Samsung devices, Live Alerts on Oppo and OnePlus phones, and as a general notification drawer clean-up on all devices.
The new Android version also allows users of hearing aids to improve call quality, offering native control for volume adjustment and microphone setting selection.
Other updates include the enablement of Advanced Protection to protect at-risk users from harmful apps and websites, a custom icon for RCS group chats, and the ability to mute notifications on group chats for specified periods.
Google Home updates include the ability to manage smart home products from different locations and pin specific devices to Favourites.
