Smartphone manufacturer Oppo has launched its slimmest book-style foldable phone, the Find N5, which is also the only Android phone that can connect to and control a Mac computer.
To connect the device to a Mac, users must download and install Oppo’s O Plus Connect app, which enables file transfers and remote control via the Settings app.
So long as both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network, users can browse and transfer files from the phone to the Mac wirelessly, an advantage over current third-party wired software.
The phone’s remote control function can mirror a Mac’s display, with the bottom half of the folded phone acting as a keyboard or trackpad, albeit with limited functionality.
While Vivo also offers an Android phone with similar functionality, it is only available in China.
