Twitch is limiting streamers to 100 hours of Highlights and Uploads

Summary
Twitch will introduce a cap of 100 hours of storage for highlights and uploads from April 19 as it looks to cut down on storage costs.
The streaming platform owned by Amazon noted that the highlights feature “hasn’t been very effective in driving discovery or engagement”.
Users can overtake the cap and download their content before it is automatically deleted.
Under the new rules, users will also be able to sort through content with a new storage tracker, filtering highlights and uploads by length, view count and creation date.
Although it impacts less than 0.5% of active channels, many are protesting, especially those in the speedrunning community as historical records are largely archived through highlights.
One user commented: “crippling the highlights feature is going to be an unmitigated disaster for speedrun history”.
