Summary
Apple has confirmed to tech writer John Gruber that its Google Lens-style Visual Intelligence tool will come to the iPhone 15 Pro in a future software update.
The tool uses the phone’s camera to identify objects and provide the user with relevant information.
Visual Intelligence was launched with the iPhone 16 range in September 2022 and used the camera control button for activation.
Apple announced yesterday that it would make the feature available on the iPhone 16 E, which lacks the camera control button, via the action button.
This showed that the feature could also be available on the iPhone 15 Pro, which has an action button, and Apple has now confirmed this to be the case.
It is not yet known which software update will enable the feature on the iPhone 15 Pro.
