Apple has revealed that its adaptation of the Martha Wells’ novel ‘Murderbot’ will debut on its streaming platform Apple TV+ on May 16, with the season finale airing on July 11.
The tech giant also released teaser images of the titular character, played by Alexander Skarsgård, in both helmeted and unhelmeted forms.
The comedy is being directed by the Weitz brothers, Christopher and Paul, who collaborated on ‘About a Boy’ and the original ‘American Pie’.
The cast also includes Noma Dumezweni, David Dastmalchian, Sabrina Wu, Akshay Khanna, Tattiawna Jones, and Tamara Podemski.
The sci-fi drama is the latest in a string of genre offerings from the streamer, which includes ‘Severance’, ‘Silo’, and an upcoming adaptation of William Gibson’s cyberpunk classic ‘Neuromancer’.
