Adidas plugs its website and app into Amazon’s ‘Buy with Prime’ program

Summary
Amazon has announced that Adidas products will be available on its Buy with Prime service from the spring of this year.
The service offers free shipping and returns to Prime subscribers on purchases made directly with a brand’s site or app, all linked through Amazon’s own fulfillment network.
This is the first time a major brand has joined Amazon’s direct-to-consumer Buy with Prime programme since its launch in November 2022.
Amazon hopes the alliance will give it a foothold in the estimated $430bn online clothing market, where it has far less experience than sector leaders Boohoo and Shein.
At the same time, the deal allows Adidas to leverage Amazon’s vast network of nationwide distribution centres, leveraging its logistical expertise to compete with rivals Nike and Under Armour.
