Grassroots protests against Tesla and Elon Musk have spread to 65 cities in the US, with actions planned overseas, attempting to toxify the billionaire’s relationship with the company and shareholders.
The “Tesla Takedown” protestors hope to hit Musk where it hurts - his bank balance - following reports that Tesla sales are down.
Protests have been largely organised by disinformation researcher Joan Donovan and others using the hashtag TeslaTakedown.
They are attempting to encourage shareholders to sell their Tesla stock and for people to reconsider buying a Tesla vehicle.
Cybertrucks and other Teslas have been defaced with swastikas and Nazi-related graffiti, and several windows have been broken.
Musk appeared to reference the protests at CPAC, saying “you see, like, these sort of fake rallies with hardly any people.
