Summary
Think Deeper and Voice functionalities within Microsoft’s Copilot have had limits for free users lifted, meaning extended conversations with the AI assistant are now possible.
The company said it is working to provide unlimited access to as many people as quickly as possible, but added there could be delays or interruptions for security or high demand reasons.
The move comes two years after Microsoft launched Copilot inside its Bing search engine, and a month after it revamped its Copilot Pro subscription and included Office AI features in Microsoft 365.
The $20 a month Copilot Pro subscription remains, promising users preferred access to new models, early experimental AI features, and additional use in Microsoft’s office apps.
Copilot’s key rival, OpenAI’s ChatGPT, recently slashed its price and is now free to users via a queueing system.
