ChatGPT is a terrible, fascinating, and thrilling to-do list app

Summary
ChatGPT is a to-do list app that has been improved with several new features in recent weeks, including Tasks, which allows users to set reminders and make to-do lists, and Operator, an “agentic” model for Pro subscribers that attempts to accomplish tasks on users’ behalf.
The Operator feature is both impressive and useless: it can carry out web searches and land on highly rated items, but there is no way to then add these items to a shopping cart, for example.
In general, the best luck had with Operator was with tasks that involved scouring star ratings or some other scannable and quantifiable metric.
There are no project management tools or a way to easily organise tasks, and it is not always easy to see the user’s entire to-do list.
Tasks and Operator aren’t much, but they are often just enough to get users going, which is the whole point of the AI-powered to-do list app.
