Summary
Sonos fans are having a good week with the introduction of a sale for existing customers, as well as the Victrola Stream Onyx turntable being discounted by more than half price.
The turntable, which turned out to be the entry-level model in Victrola’s ‘Works with Sonos’ range, is on sale at Woot for 249.99,adiscountof350.
The discount ends on February 28 and the Onyx allows users to play vinyl records through their Sonos system without needing any additional equipment.
It looks similar to the more expensive models in the range, thanks to its compact design, metal platter and an illuminated volume control.
To cut costs, however, Victrola used cheaper thick moulded plastic for the Onyx rather than higher-quality materials and it has a less expensive Audio-Technica VM95E cartridge.
It also cannot stream records to non-Sonos devices via Wi-Fi, something that the more expensive models can do.
