Summary
Amazon has announced that its AI-powered Alexa Plus will be available on a wide range of devices, except certain older generations including the first-generation Echo, Echo Dot, Echo Plus, Echo Tap, Echo Spot, Echo Show and the second-generation Echo Show.
The new functionality will allow users to perform tasks such as booking restaurant reservations and generating songs, on devices including the Echo Flex, Echo Input and Echo Hub.
However, older models will still be able to use the standard Alexa functions, such as turning on lights and providing weather updates.
An Amazon spokesperson confirmed the list of compatible and non-compatible devices.
Alexa Plus has faced development delays and rumours suggest it may not be fully functional on all devices when it is launched.
