The Powerbeats Pro 2, the follow-up to Apple’s 2019 Powerbeats Pro wireless earbuds, has finally launched and includes active noise cancellation (ANC), a transparency mode and heart rate monitoring, all features new to the range.
It retains the same IPX4 rating and $249.99 price tag as its predecessor, the only difference being a smaller, lighter design and a revamped look.
It features a new H2 chip, upgraded microphones and amplifiers, and improved sound, along with longer battery life of 10 hours on the buds and 3.5 extra charges from the case for a total of 45 hours.
It also now supports fast charging, with a five-minute top-up netting 90 minutes of playback.
At a glance, the only noticeable downside is that the case is still a chonker.
