Meta is reportedly developing a standalone app for its AI chatbot, which may launch in Q2 2025, to compete with the likes of ChatGPT, Google Gemini and Microsoft Copilot.
Having already integrated the chatbot across Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp, the new app will help the company reach users who do not already use these platforms.
The AI chatbot can answer questions, generate images and images, and provide better recommendations using memory.
This development comes as CEO Mark Zuckerberg recently announced plans to invest $65bn in AI and hold an AI-themed event later in April.
