Microsoft has released a native app for macOS that provides users with access to the web-based version of its AI assistant, Copilot.
The macOS version includes a dark mode and a shortcut command to activate the assistant, similar to the Windows version.
Users can upload images and generate images or text using the assistant.
The launch coincides with the removal of usage limits for free users of Copilot’s ‘Think Deeper’ and ‘Voice’ functions.
This allows users to have extended conversations with the AI assistant.
The Mac app and the updated iPad version are available in the US, UK, and Canada, with a split-screen mode for iPad and document summarisation features coming soon.
