Summary
Chinese tech firm Lenovo has released a prototype laptop with a flexible, folding OLED panel that allows it to be used in three modes.
The ThinkBook Flip AI PC concept can be used as a traditional laptop with a 13.1-inch display, a tablet with a 12.9-inch diagonal or a vertical-screened laptop with an 18.1-inch display.
It employs the same OLED panel as the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6, which is due for release in June, but sets it up to fold behind the main display.
This means there is no need for motors, which could reduce costs, and eliminates unused screen in the device’s chassis.
It has a Smart ForcePad trackpad with three colour-coded layers of LED-illuminated touch shortcuts and media controls.
Lenovo has said it will use an Intel Ultra 7 processor, 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM, PCIe SSD storage, Thunderbolt 4 ports and a fingerprint reader.
