Our first look at Apple’s sky blue MacBook Air

Aside from a new colour (sky blue), the new MacBook Air looks a lot like the previous model.
As with the corresponding 14-inch MacBook Pro, the new MacBook Air has an M4 chip, starting with a 10-core CPU and an 8-core GPU.
The new MacBook Air also incorporates the 12-megapixel Centre Stage webcam, which is now used across the Mac range, that enables the use of two external monitors whilst keeping the laptop open; a feature not available with the previous model.
The new sky blue colour is a very pale metallic finish that is more silver than blue.
The most significant change is the lower price point, with the 13” model now $99 c h e a p er t han t h e p re v i o u s v ers i o n, s t a r t in g a t$ 999, and the 15” model starting at $1,199.
The new MacBook Air range is available for pre-order ahead of its imminent release next week.
