Aside from a new colour (sky blue), the new MacBook Air looks a lot like the previous model.
As with the corresponding 14-inch MacBook Pro, the new MacBook Air has an M4 chip, starting with a 10-core CPU and an 8-core GPU.
The new MacBook Air also incorporates the 12-megapixel Centre Stage webcam, which is now used across the Mac range, that enables the use of two external monitors whilst keeping the laptop open; a feature not available with the previous model.
The new sky blue colour is a very pale metallic finish that is more silver than blue.
The most significant change is the lower price point, with the 13” model now 99cheaperthanthepreviousversion,startingat999, and the 15” model starting at $1,199.
The new MacBook Air range is available for pre-order ahead of its imminent release next week.
