Chip maker AMD has announced that its new gaming-focused Ryzen 9 9950X3D and 9900X3D processors, featuring second-generation 3D V-Cache technology, will be available to order from 12 March.
The new chips build on the firm’s 9800X3D, regarded as the best gaming CPU to date, with 16 cores and are priced at 699and599 respectively.
According to AMD’s Computing and Graphics SVP and GM, the new chip will be “the world’s best” for gaming and content creation.
The release of the processors coincides with the firm’s launch of new GPUs, the Radeon RX 9070 and 9070 XT, which are set to compete with Nvidia’s dominant chips.
The new products are set to bolster AMD’s offering for enthusiasts and gamers, as the silicon shortage begins to wane.
