Forza Horizon 5 will require a Microsoft account on PS5

Summary
The latest Xbox exclusive, Forza Horizon 5 will be released on PS5 on 29th April, but in order to play it users will have to register a Microsoft account with their PlayStation Network account.
Also, progress cannot be saved to the cloud across platforms, and there is no cross-platform multiplayer.
The game will also be digital only, so no disc copies will be issued.
This is the same situation that faced PS5 gamers when Sea of Thieves was released on the console.
These requirements have been criticised as Sony has previously removed the need to log in with a PSN account for some games on PC.
It appears that Sony is permitting Microsoft to insist on these restrictions for these Xbox exclusives.
