Apple is reportedly bringing live translation to AirPods

Apple is planning to include a real-time translation feature in its AirPods, which will be linked to the upcoming iOS 19, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.
While this will bring Apple up to speed with competitors such as Google, Meta and Humane, all of which have already introduced the facility, the execution needs to be consistent to win customer trust.
Gurman suggests the feature could work by translating speech from one language, such as Spanish, and playing the translation in the wearer’s AirPods.
Apple hasn’t yet responded to The Verge’s request for comment.
The company recently announced a delay to its AI upgrades for Siri, and is planning a redesign of its iOS, iPadOS and macOS.
