Philips Hue has quietly added information about its new Secure video doorbell within its app, ahead of its official unveiling, expected in the fall.
The device appears in a section of the app that offers instructions for setting up devices without QR codes.
From what can be seen in the screenshots, the doorbell is wires and has Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity for setup.
No further information is currently available, but speculation is that it will follow other recent Hue Secure devices in not supporting HomeKit Secure Video.
Instead, the doorbell will likely come with the usual features found in Hue’s other security cams, such as 1080p video, two-way talk, end-to-end encryption of recordings, as well as smart alerts for people, pets and vehicles.
