Apple TV+ has ordered a 10-episode comedy series called The Studio, which will take an satirical look behind-the-scenes of a fictional movie studio, Continental Pictures, and the power play between the characters as they try to secure their futures amidst massive changes to the business.
The show is produced by Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, Peter Huyck, Alex Gregory, and showrunner Francesca Del Bianco and stars Rogen, Bryan Cranston, Ike Barinholtz, Chase Sui Wonders, Catherine O’Hara, and Kathryn Hahn, with a slew of celebrity cameos in the first season.
X-Men: First Class screenwriter Ashley Miller has signed on to write and exec produce a twisty, geo-political thriller set within the Continental Pictures universe of the show, which could potentially expand the franchise if the series is a success.
The Studio is scheduled to debut on Apple’s streaming service on March 26, 2023.
