Meta Quest might add single window screensharing in VR soon

Summary
A new feature on Meta’s experimental Horizon operating system for its Quest virtual reality (VR) headsets could allow users to share views of single 2D windows with other users.
The capability was found in the code for version 76 of the OS by VR enthusiast Luna, who wrote that there was a string indicating a “share” feature, as well as an “unshare” option.
It is understood that the feature would allow users to share views of their browser or other windows in their virtual homes, but not in external apps.
At present, users can share first-person VR or mixed reality views with others, and watch videos together on YouTube VR, but there is no capability to share specific two-dimensional windows in other apps.
Meta has not responded to requests for comment on the capability.
