Summary
Nvidia has released an AI-powered autonomous platform - G-Assist - on its Nvidia app to optimise PC gaming performance.
G-Assist can change settings to optimise frame rates, and can adjust lighting on connected accessories such as keyboards and screens from manufacturers including Logitech, Corsair, MSI and Nanoleaf.
Voice or text prompts allow users to ask questions about its DLSS Frame Generation technology and ways to improve gaming performance.
It requires a minimum of 12GB of VRAM and works on a range of RTX 30, 40 and 50 series desktop GPUs.
The launch is part of a wider app update which also includes new Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) override options, and the ability to adjust display scaling and colour settings.
G-Assist was originally an April Fools’ prank in 2017 before becoming a tech demo in June 2024.
