YouTuber MrBeast, real name Jimmy Donaldson, has co-written a new novel with renowned author James Patterson which reportedly features Squid Game-like attractions.
The book, which does not yet have a title, centres on a contest that sees participants battling through deadly tests in a bid to become The One.
The search for publishing rights has seen eight-figure bids submitted, with film and TV rights also being sold.
MrBeast has recently focused on the Squid Game genre with viral YouTube videos and Amazon’s Beast Games, a reality show based on survival contests.
Patterson has cemented his reputation as a collaborative author, working with several other writers including former US President Bill Clinton.
