Summary
Amazon has finally released its AI-powered Alexa Plus, but only for a limited number of customers so far, according to a company spokesperson.
As previously reported, it does not yet include all the showcased features, including gift idea brainsorming, voice- ordering of groceries and use of the Alexa Plus browser extension.
It is only available for use on Echo Show devices and some functions, such as the ability to order food via Grubhub using context from a conversation, are still being developed.
Amazon announced Alexa Plus in February, with an introductory price of $19.99 per month, or free for Prime subscribers.
The company will roll out new features in waves, according to the spokesperson.
