Summary
Video editing software Premiere Pro’s (PP) latest update sees the inclusion of several AI-powered features to enhance the user experience.
Users will now be able to use the Generative Extend feature to extend video clips by up to two seconds, as well as ambient background audio via Firefly generative AI.
This is a free service for now, but will eventually require users to spend Firefly generative credits once a price point is determined.
The software also boasts an AI-powered search panel that recognises the content of clips, allowing users to search by text description.
PP can now automatically translate video captions into 27 languages, and display multiple language tracks simultaneously.
The new version of After Effects accompanies the PP update, with new HDR monitoring capabilities, animation controls and environmental light effects among other features.
