Thunderbird email is going pro to better compete with Gmail

Summary
Mozilla-backed email client Thunderbird is developing a new set of subscription services for businesses, plus a new email domain, as it takes on the likes of Gmail and Outlook.
The offering, currently in beta, will include an AI-powered scheduling assistant, file-sharing tools, and the @thundermail.com or @tb.pro domain email addresses.
There will be both free and paid tiers, but the pricing for the latter has not yet been announced.
Sipes, the managing director at Thunderbird, said it should have launched a decade ago, but it is better late than never, given the rising backlash against Big Tech and increase in demand for privacy.
