Google has upgraded its AI note-taking tool, NotebookLM, with a new feature called Discover.
Rather than manually inputting sources, users can simply describe a topic and the tool will search for relevant web sources.
NotebookLM analyses hundreds of potential sources and selects up to 10 of the most relevant, saving them for reference and use in other functions such as Audio Overviews.
The feature is the first of several new upgrades aimed at improving the tool’s functionality, including an ‘I’m Feeling Curious’ button, which generates random topics for users to learn about.
Both features are aimed at making it easier and more enjoyable for users to find and digest relevant information.
