Summary

  • Internet explorer Digg has launched an early access group called Groundbreakers, which for a $5 one-off fee allows users to secure usernames and gain access to the new Digg as it’s developed.
  • Feedback will be able to be given directly to the development team, and there will be a permanent Groundbreakers badge on the user’s profile once the new Digg is up and running.
  • The rebooted Digg was announced last month, with the original founder Kevin Rose returning alongside Reddit cofounder Alexis Ohanian.
  • It will centre around sharing and voting on links, but also draw inspiration from Reddit and employ AI- Moderation.
  • Invites were originally sent to the Digg mailing list, but now users can sign up without one.
