Social media is awash with complaints from South Korean Galaxy S24 smartphone owners unable to unlock their phones after updating to One UI 7.
Samsung leaker, Ice Universe, said a “serious bug” has been found, which has prompted the company to pause the global release of the software update.
Although Samsung has not confirmed the pause, nor given any indication of a timescale for a fix for those users who have already downloaded the update, it has stopped the rollout of the update on its servers, and is instead serving older patches to various Galaxy devices.
The update, which introduced Android 15 and a range of AI enhancements, was originally released for the S24, Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 handset owners on April 7, with US users receiving it on April 10.
