How to set up Do Not Disturb modes on your Android phone
1 min read
Summary
On both iOS and Android devices, Do Not Disturb (DND) has developed beyond simply blocking notifications and distractions into various modes that can be customised to different scenarios and situations
This provides users with greater control over which apps and contacts can reach them and when, allowing them to choose, for instance, to allow alerts from Slack during working hours, but not during family time
DND options on Android devices are found within the Settings section, while on iOS devices these are now known as Focus modes and can be located in the Settings section and on the iPhone’s Control Centre
Different manufacturers will offer different options for DND, with instructions provided for setting up the feature on both a Pixel 9 running Android 15 and a Galaxy S25 running One UI 7.
