DJI’s new drone speaker lets cops yell at you from the sky

Drones manufacturer DJI has launched a new accessory to its enterprise range, a loudspeaker that can transmit messages to the public over considerable distances.
Known as the Zenmuse V1, the speaker can attach to DJI’s Matrice 350 RTK or Matrice 300 RTK drones and transmit recordings, texts or uploaded audio files via the DJI Pilot 2 app.
It can broadcast audio up to 500m away and is targeted at the public safety and emergency rescue sector.
DJI also launched a spotlight accessory called the Zenmuse S1, which can also be attached to its Matrice drones and uses Laser Excited Phosphor technology to improve light penetration.
Neither accessory’s price or availability has been announced yet, and DJI is still considering the future of its products in the US, which are currently under threat of a ban.
