Summary
In its entirety, LinkedIn’s free verification system is being rolled out across the wider web, allowing third-party sites and platforms to integrate LinkedIn verification.
Instead of creating their own verification tool, sites can now use LinkedIn’s, with Adobe being the first major company to sign up.
Adobe’s new Content Authenticity app and Behance portfolio platform will both feature LinkedIn verification, allowing users to display a “Verified on LinkedIn” badge.
Doing so will confirm the user’s identity, workplace, or education history through government-issued ID or company emails, with over 80 million people Verified by LinkedIn since its launch in 2023.
Bluesky also recently launched a verification system, mimicking Twitter’s blue verification mark to label notable and authentic accounts.
