Ziff Davis, the US digital media company that owns several outlets including PCMag, IGN and CNET, is suing artificial intelligence (AI) company OpenAI, alleging copyright infringement.
OpenAI’s chatbot tool ChatGPT is accused of creating “exact copies” of Ziff Davis content.
OpenAI is currently facing multiple lawsuits regarding copyright of content used to train its AI models.
The company has signed content licensing agreements with several companies, including The Washington Post and The Financial Times.
Ziff Davis is seeking for the court to stop OpenAI from using its work, and to destroy any datasets or models that contain its content.
