Trump offers a private dinner to his biggest memecoin buyers

President Donald Trump has announced that he will host a private dinner for the top 220 holders of his $TR U MP m e m eco in, w i t h t h e w inn erso f t h e d inn er d e t er min e d b y t h e am o u n t o f$ TRUMP owned and the duration of their holding period.
The event, which includes a VIP package for the top 25 holders, was advertised on the $TR U MP co inh o m e p a g e an d c a u se d t h eco in t o j u m p b yo v er 50$ 100m in value.
Senators Elizabeth Warren and Chris Murphy have written to the US Office of Ethics requesting an investigation, describing the event as “the most brazenly corrupt thing a President has ever done” and suggesting that it represents “pay to play” corruption.
However, with Trump having sacked the previous Office of Ethics director in February and with Republicans controlling both houses of Congress, the likelihood of an investigation appears limited.
